About Us
At Body Comes to Mind
everything we create starts with one question:
How can we help you support yourself in the midst of the pressure, complexity, and care you offer others every day?

why we do this work
Healthcare workers ourselves, we understand the realities of working in healthcare. The long hours. The emotional exhaustion. The pressure to keep going even when you’re running on empty.
We’ve been there.
We wanted to know how we could stay more present, energized, and engaged in our work. What we discovered is that sustainable change begins in the body. When your body comes to mind, things begin to shift. You feel calmer, clearer, more grounded. You have more capacity to choose how you respond—especially when the pressure is on.
We created Body Comes to Mind to bring embodied awareness and nervous system regulation tools to the people who need them most: people that serve others. Thank you for the work you are doing.
We’d love to support you in doing just that without having to sacrifice you!

“Embodiment brings us back to the place where we can choose again—where we remember what we’re capable of and how we want to lead our lives.”
Our Story
We met through the practice of Aikido—connecting “on the mat” from different parts of the globe. Our common background as occupational therapists and martial artists laid the foundation for a shared sense of something deeper: the wisdom of the body, and the way it shows us how to move through life with presence and care.
We saw how embodied practices offer clarity in overwhelm, helping us – and others – respond rather than react to the complex challenges.
In our work with individuals and healthcare teams facing chronic stress, emotional exhaustion, and healthcare burnout, one thing became clear: concepts alone aren’t enough. What’s needed are practices that engage the whole self–not just thinking differently, but embodying new patterns in real time.
We developed the Embodied Exploration® method—a practical, evidence-informed approach rooted in neuroscience, somatics, and personal leadership. Our mission is to support sustainable well-being through tools for nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and embodied awareness.
These practices help you stay balanced, focused, and energized—even under pressure—so you can show up as your best self without burning out.
